Tennessee legislators have taken action to push for a bill to legalize cannabis for medical purposes. Surprisingly enough, many established Republicans are in support of the idea and bill.

The bill is known as the Medical Cannabis Act. It will legalize the use of cannabis oil for medicinal purposes. Smoking cannabis would still be illegal. There are rules and regulations to this bill as well. Prescriptions for cannabis from your doctor and an opt-in through a referendum would be needed to meet requirements to be eligible to use medical cannabis.
