The NBA may give their athletes the chance to use cannabis for medical purposes. The player Association is currently researching medical marijuana to see if the use of cannabis will be fair regarding playing. Many players and executives support cannabis use; even all-star Karl Anthony-Towns is on the side of lifting the cannabis ban regarding the NBA. One of the concerns that executives in the NBA worry for is the legality outside of the NBA. No one wants players being arrested on the streets or at airports merely because they had weed on them.
